A few words about us…

At McKenzie Law Partners, we take a different approach. In fact, we are different in many ways.

Combined with a passion for what we do, we also have a wealth of experience gained over many years working in this area of law. Our primary role is to support parents and partners in working through processes such as child arrangements and divorce. But how are we different, you might ask. Well, that’s easy. Children and family law are all we focus on so that we can be specialists in one area. It works for us, and it works for you.

At McKenzie Law Partners, our reputation for delivering high-quality work precedes us. We ensure you stay in charge of your case, but with our assistance…this is about you after all. You generally remain litigants-in-person, and we guide you to achieve the best outcome we can. It’s about working as a team and having the right people behind you. That’s our ethos, and we are proud of it.

Quality Assurance

We hold a practicing certificate to practice family law issued by the Professional Paralegal Register which is renewed annually. Please take a moment to read the PPR code of practice. In addition, and as a prerequisite for the issuance of a practicing certificate, we maintain professional indemnity insurance² (P.I.I.) for our clients in the unlikely event that we make a significant error and/or omission. Our P.I.I. also covers us to undertake certain reserved activities¹ on your behalf such as right of audience and the conduct of litigation.

We are member of Resolution, which is a community of family justice professionals who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive way to minimise and avoid conflict between parties in family cases. Please take a moment to read our code of practice.

1 . Section 12(1)(a)-(f) of the Legal Services Act 2007 defines those ‘reserved activities’ which are prohibited by any person who is not regulated by defined organisations, except where this has been approved beforehand by the family court.

2 . Our professional indemnity insurer is One Commercial Specialty, and our certificate of cover can be viewed upon request.

Khan is the head of our Firm. Following the successful acquisition of his Wales-based accountancy practice, Khan spearheaded the launch of McKenzie Law Partners. His role within the practice is as a forensic accountant. Khan supports our divorce clients and independently oversees asset tracking, due diligence in financial settlements and reviews accounts and tax records to ensure full disclosure within divorce proceedings. He is a bit nosey like that, but it’s all with your best interests at heart! Khan is an investor in people, approachable and friendly, and most importantly, his clients benefit from his vast experienceand eagerness to help others. Alongside his team, Khan has ambitions to make McKenzie Law Partners an industry leader in the field of children and family law; he does things his way, with your best interests at the centre of every decision made.

Andrew, is a qualified paralegal and holds a practicing certificate in family law. He previously practiced as a qualified accountant specialising in international tax and tax law and moved into children and family law in 2016. Andrew's particular specialism is parental alienation and intractable contact disputes, and he spearheads the family unit of the practice. Andrew believes in a teamwork approach, collaborating with you so that your expectations are managed. His main priority from day one is that you feel supported and the legal aspects of your case are adequately attended to.

Our fair fee structure recognises that people do not want their precious financial resources drained. Consequently, we are typically 60% cheaper than most solicitors. We are proud to be able to offer a service that everyone can have access to, and everyone can afford.
